Magnus Bahne (born March 15, 1979 in Kaarina ) is a former Finnish national soccer player .

Career

Bahne began playing football at VG-62 Naantali before moving to Inter Turku's youth department in 1996 . In 1998 he made his debut for the club in the second division . At the end of the year, he and the team made it to the Veikkausliiga . As a regular goalkeeper, he was able to establish himself with the eleven in the Finnish House of Lords. In 2000 he was appointed to the national team for the first time and was used in games against the Estonian and Thai national teams . Under Roy Hodgson , he returned to the national team in 2006, but was only a substitute.

In 2007, Bahne moved to Halmstads BK in the Swedish Allsvenskan , where he should ensure more competition in the goalkeeping position. Here he was first goalkeeper before he injured his cruciate ligament in the summer . Temporarily, the club then loaned the Kazakh national goalkeeper Dawid Lorija from Shakhtar Qaraghandy , since the actual substitute Marcus Sahlman had meanwhile been given to Trelleborgs FF . In spring 2008 he returned as a substitute for the second team. From summer he was back between the posts in the first team in the Allsvenskan. He regained his regular place and was on the field in 19 season games by the end of the season. At the side of Tim Sparv , Michael Görlitz , Tomas Žvirgždauskas , he was also part of the regular staff in the 2009 season . Nevertheless, he announced his departure from the club in the fall of that year.

After Bahne had been courted by several clubs, he decided at the end of January 2010 to move to the Swedish second division Assyriska Föreningen in order to be able to work under coach Rikard Norling . Even with his new club Stammkraft, he missed promotion to the Allsvenskan with the team around Stefan Batan , Göran Marklund and Fredrik Samuelsson as fourth in the table. After his contract expired, he returned to Finland. He signed a contract with his first game station Inter Turku and ended his career there at the end of 2015.
