Magnus Fiennes

Magnus Hubert Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes usually shortened to Magnus Fiennes , pronunciation: / ˈfaɪnz / (born November 21, 1965 ) is an English composer, songwriter, arranger and music producer. He has u. a. worked with Shakira , Pulp , Tom Jones , Bond , Marianne Faithfull and Morcheeba . He plays the keyboard, guitar and percussion himself.

In 1997, together with Cameron McVey, he produced the single Never Ever by All Saints , which brought the girls group the breakthrough on the European and US market. Never Ever ranks 27th on the Guinness World Records British Hit Singles - top 100 singles , won two BRIT Awards in the categories British Single and Best British Video in 1998 and has won platinum twice in the UK .

Magnus Fiennes composed the music for several feature films, English TV series as well as for commercials.

Magnus Fiennes is a son of the photographer Mark Fiennes (1933–2004) and the writer Jennifer Lash (1938–1993). The actors Ralph and Joseph Fiennes , the environmentalist Jacob Fiennes and the directors Martha and Sophie Fiennes also come from this marriage . As a foster brother, Michael Emery (archaeologist) grew up with them. Magnus Fiennes is married to the pianist and composer Maya Dokic (Maya Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes), with whom he has two daughters.
