Magnus Samuelsson (born May 21, 1971 ) is a former Swedish football player . The defender made his career in Sweden, Finland and Norway.
Career
Samuelsson started playing football at Bodens BK . From there he moved to the second division IFK Luleå in 1992 , before moving to the Allsvenskan for Östers IF in 1998 after six years with the team . Here he received a one-year contract. After the contract with the club from Växjö expired , he moved within the league to Djurgårdens IF , where he received the shirt number "7". With the Stockholm club he rose to the Superettan at the end of the 1999 season , but managed to get promoted again. After his contract had expired at the end of the 2001 season , he turned down an offer from the club to extend his contract.
Samuelsson moved to Finland for FC Lahti in the 2002 season . With the club he reached seventh place in the table. After the end of the season he returned to Sweden and signed a contract with Örebro SK . At first he was part of the regular formation of the club in the Allsvenskan. After a cruciate ligament rupture , which led to a lengthy forced break, he lost his regular seat and left the club on loan in 2007. At the Norwegian club Raufoss IL , he worked alongside his compatriots Rickard Claesson , Christian Hemberg and Dennis Jonsson . After the club's license was revoked, Samuelsson decided to return to Sweden. He signed a contract with third division club Degerfors IF .
After his career ended, Samuelsson returned to Örebro Sk and took over duties in the youth division of the club.
