Mahmudiye is a city in the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Eskişehir and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Eskişehir (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 1993 . The city is located about 50 kilometers southeast of the center of Eskişehir .

The district is located in the center of the province. It borders Çifteler in the south, Seyitgazi in the west, Odunpazarı and Alpu in the north, Beylikova in the northeast and Sivrihisar in the east . The city and the district crosses the trunk road D-675, which leads from the E 90 in the north via Çifteler to Çay in the south. The city lies on the Seydisuyu Deresi River , which flows further east into the Sakarya .

Mahmudiye received the status of a municipality ( Belediye ) in 1948 and was split off from Seyitgazi district as an independent district in 1954 .
