Maisoncelles-la-Jourdan is a former French community with 446 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017), the Maisoncellais , in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy .

On January 1, 2016, Maisoncelles-la-Jourdan was incorporated into the new municipality of Vire Normandie as part of a regional reform together with seven neighboring municipalities .

Maisoncelles-la-Jourdan is around 5.5 kilometers from Vire . Flers , located in the Orne department , is about 22 kilometers to the east; the Manche department borders the local area in the south . The Vire runs along the southeastern border .
