Majtum ( Sami Májddum ) is a settlement in the Swedish province of Norrbotten County and the historic province of Lapland .

The nearest larger place ( Tatort ) is Jokkmokk - the central place of the municipality of the same name . The inland railway runs through Majtum, but the station is called Maitum . In the summer months there are train connections from the small train station to Östersund and Gällivare. The European route 45 also leads through the village.

Majtum is located on the Majtumälven river and the Majtumsjön lake . The number of inhabitants is below fifty, so that the Central Statistical Office does not publish any population figures (2010).
