Malachi Throne (born December 1, 1928 in New York City , New York - † March 13, 2013 ) was an American character actor .

Life

Malachi Throne was a popular guest star on many television series of the 1960s and 1970s and, alongside Robert Wagner, was one of the main characters in the series Your Appearance, Al Mundy (It Takes a Thief) . He also appeared in the Oscar- winning short film In the Region of Ice , the series A Cage Full of Heroes as Major Pruhst, and the series On the Run .

Throne starred in two two-part episodes of two different Star Trek series . In Starship Enterprise he played Commodore José Mendez in the episode Talos IV - Tabu (The Menagerie) ; in Starship Enterprise: The Next Century He Played Pardek, a Romulan Senator, In The Episode Reunification? (Unification) . He also appeared in the second episode of the Star Trek fan series Star Trek: New Voyages in 2004, in which he played a Klingon .

One of his strangest roles was the villain False Face on the television series Batman . False Face used various camouflages to cover up his crimes and otherwise wore a semi-transparent mask . The mask meant that Throne's real face could no longer be recognized. Taking advantage of this effect, but against the wishes of Thrones, did the producers give in the credits ? as false face . While this matched the camp style of the show, Throne was deprived of his appreciation. In the computer game Gothic 3, which appeared in 2006, he worked as a voice actor for the English voice output.

In an episode of the science fiction television series Babylon 5 , Malachi Throne portrayed the Prime Minister of the Centauri people.
