Malevizi ( Greek Μαλεβίζι ( n. Sg. )) Is a municipality (Δήμος, Dimos ) in the northwest of the regional district of Heraklion on the Greek Mediterranean island of Crete . The island forms one of the 13 regions of Greece .

The municipality of Malevizi was formed through the amalgamation of the municipalities and current municipalities of Gazi , Krousonas and Tylisos on the basis of the Kallikratis Law of 2010. The seat of the municipality is the small town of Gazi .

Since January 1, 2011, Malevizi has been divided into three municipal districts and 19 localities. The localities, which are called dimotiki kinotita or topiki kinotita depending on the number of inhabitants , elect their own local representatives. The population figures come from the results of the 2011 census.
