Painted Henk
Malte Henk (* 1976 in Bremen ) is a German journalist . He is editor of the “Dossier” of the weekly newspaper Die Zeit , before that he worked as a reporter for GEO magazine .
Life
After graduating from high school in Wolfsburg , Henk studied history, German and rhetoric in Tübingen and Edinburgh . From 2004 to 2005 he attended the Henri Nannen School for Journalism in Hamburg . He then worked as a freelance writer for the news magazine Der Spiegel and GEO , among others . In 2007 he became editor at GEOkompakt, and the following year at GEO. From 2011 to 2012 he lived as a GEO correspondent in Israel . In 2013 he moved to the "Dossier" department of ZEIT. Henk works as a lecturer at the Henri Nannen School of Journalism and the Hamburg Academy for Journalism .

- 2009: Georg von Holtzbrinck Prize for Science Journalism in the Print Category (in equal shares with Jörg Albrecht from the FAZ)
- 2013: Special Prize of the Bremen DRK Media Prize
- 2014: Henri Nannen Prize in the "Best Documentation" category
- 2014: Journalist of the year in the “Science” category, together with co-author Amrai Coen
- 2015: Georg von Holtzbrinck Prize for Science Journalism
- 2015: German Reporter Award (best science report ) for The Hunt for 67P / CG , published in Die Zeit
- 2016: German Reporter Award (report), together with co-author Henning Sußebach , for Der Exodus von Tel Goran , published in Die Zeit
- 2017: Media Prize Politics 2016 of the German Bundestag for How I went out to understand the AfD , published in Die Zeit .
- 2018: Theodor Wolff Prize in the category Opinion for Everything Coincidence? , published in Die Zeit .
