Mike works at his parents' motel on old Route 66. One day Sue, who sells art for a company in Baltimore, is an overnight guest at the motel. Mike immediately falls in love with her and finally Sue even accepts his awkward advances and sleeps with him.
After Sue leaves, Mike realizes that his feelings for her run deeper. He pays Sue a surprise visit to Baltimore, but finds out that Sue is in a relationship with her ex-boyfriend Jango again.
Mike doesn't want to give up his luck with Sue without a fight and comes up with all kinds of ideas to win her over ...

The film premiered on September 7, 2008 at the Toronto International Film Festival and was released in May 2009 as a limited theatrical release in the United States. In management , Jennifer Aniston and Steve Zahn were in front of the camera for the third time for the same project. In 1995, Zahn made a guest appearance on Friends, and in 1998 they both starred in the movie Love in Every Relationship .
Aniston wanted to change the look for the role of Sue. Since she didn't want her blonde hair cut, she wore a several thousand dollar brown wig while filming.
