Manfred von Brünneck-Bellschwitz

Manfred Magnus Otto Graf von Brünneck (-Bellschwitz) (born March 1, 1872 in Rosenberg , West Prussia; † May 16, 1957 in Baden-Baden ) was a German lawyer, administrative officer and politician.

Count Brünneck was the owner of the manor Groß Bellschwitz in the Rosenberg district in West Prussia . After studying law, he joined the Prussian judicial and administrative service of the Kingdom of Prussia in 1895 . In 1907 he became district administrator of the Königsberg district . From 1916 to 1928 he was governor of the province of East Prussia . Before 1918 he was also a member of the German Reichstag .

As the district administrator of Königsberg, Count Brünneck initiated the construction of the state women's clinic and the art gallery. As governor he was responsible for founding the East Prussia Works (from 1923 part of VIAG ) to electrify the entire province. During the Weimar Republic he was a member of the Christian-German movement. After fleeing, he lived in Baden-Baden and was involved in the East Prussian Landsmannschaft .
