Manfred Sestendrup

Manfred Bernhard Sestendrup (born September 16, 1952 in Altenberge ) is a German writer .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1971 at the Augustinianum grammar school in Greven and completing military service as a paramedic , Sestendrup studied German and sports at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster from the 1972 winter semester to the 1977 summer semester . He passed his first state examination for teaching at grammar school in 1977 and completed his legal clerkship with the second state examination in 1979. From 1980 to 2017 he taught German and sports at the Clemens-Brentano-Gymnasium in Dülmen .

Manfred Sestendrup received, among other awards, the Welthungerhilfe medal of thanks in 1994 , the city of Dülmen's cultural plaque in 2004 and the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon in 2008 .

He wrote scientific works on Baroque literature, numerous volumes of poetry and, since 1997, pointed lyrical biographies in which his title character "PAUL" - " sketched with smugness and irony - goes through all facets of our life from childhood to death".

Since 1978 he has been leaving all income from the sale of his PAUL books to Welthungerhilfe. He has been a member of the Writers' Union since 1991.

Sestendrup has lived in Dülmen since 1983. He is married and has three children.
