Manfred Tümmler (born September 23, 1936 in Plauen ; † December 30, 1990 in Berlin ) was a German actor at the Staatliche Schauspielbühnen Berlin .

Act

Tümmler received his acting training in East Berlin. He made his theater debut in Heidelberg , then went to Stuttgart . A long-term commitment to the Schillertheater in Berlin followed.

Manfred Tümmler was known as an actor from television films, as a voice actor as well as a radio presenter. He also wrote screenplays, including for Bellini . At the Schillertheater, Eugene O'Neill's One Long Day Journey into the Night (1976/77) with Martin Held and Marianne Hoppe could be seen.

He was seen in feature films in 1967 in Oswalt Kolles The Miracle of Love and in 1970 alongside Curd Jürgens in The Hour Hotel of St. Pauli . He played supporting roles in Dear Fatherland, May You Be Calm (1975) based on the novel by Johannes Mario Simmel and in the US comedy Gotcha! - A Crazy Trip (1985). He was also involved in German television series, such as Tadellöser & Wolff , Café Wernicke , MS Franziska and Ein Heim für Tiere .

His most important work as the dubbing voice of Errol Flynn was the new versions of the films Under Pirate Flag , Lord of the Wild West and Favorite of a Queen . As the German voice of Gordon Thomson , he dubbed it in the role of Adam Carrington in the US television series Denver-Clan .

Bottlenose dolphin grave is in the forest cemetery Dahlem .
