Manon Genêt (born June 26, 1989 in La Rochelle ) is a French triathlete and she is included in the best list of French triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Manon Genêt was active in athletics as a teenager, she has been running triathlon since 2013 and specialized in the longer distances.

In June 2016 in Baudreix she was runner-up behind Charlotte Morel in the long-distance triathlon. In April 2017, she started the Ironman distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) at the Ironman South Africa for the first time and finished twelfth in the professional women.

At the Ironman Malaysia in November 2017 she won the bronze medal.

In April 2018, the then 28-year-old finished fifth at the Ironman South Africa and in Port Elizabeth, with 9:21:59 hours, she achieved the second fastest time of a French athlete on the Ironman distance.
In 2018, in Aix-en-Provence and Nice, she also won two middle-distance victories at the Ironman 70.3 races (1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running). In October she started at the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii and was the only French professional athlete to finish 31st.

In May 2019 she finished fourth at the World Triathlon Long Distance Championship in Spain. At Ironman France in June 2019, the 30-year-old finished third, as in the previous year. In September she finished second at Ironman Wales after 9:52 hours.
