Manon Straché (* 27. March 1960 in Magdeburg as Manon Rockstroh ) is a German actress .

Career

Straché's mother was a dancer. After training at the State Ballet School in Berlin , she completed an acting course at the "Hans Otto" theater school in Leipzig from 1980 to 1984 . From 1984 she played in the Leipzig cabaret academixer . In November 1989 she left the GDR .

She became known in the early 1990s as the florist Claudia Rantzow in Lindenstrasse . Straché played the main role in the ZDF series Hotel Elfie , in which the character of Elfie Gerdes opened her own small hotel. The series is an offshoot of girl friends - friendship with a heart . After receiving the Leipzig District Critics' Prize in 1987, Straché received the Telestar in 1998 for her performance in girl friends . She also worked as an actor in the television series Das Traumschiff, among others .

Straché dubbed the character Aunt Tyrannja Vamperl in Der Wunschpunsch .

In addition to some film roles, Straché also appeared on the German theater stages, most recently in 2011 and 2012 in Berlin and Hamburg in the theater adaptation of the film comedy Calendar Girls .

She has been married to fellow actor Peer Jäger since 1993 and lives in Berlin .
