Manuel Harder

Manuel Harder (born September 16, 1971 in Valparaíso , Chile ) is a German actor .

Life

Harder was born in Chile to a pastor and grew up in Bremen . He had his first experiences in the off and street theater scene in Bremen. In 1995 he completed an acting training at the Athanor Academy Burghausen under the direction of David Esrig . In 1999 he had his first engagement at the Salzburg State Theater . In 2001 he moved to the Dortmund Theater , which was then directed by Michael Gruner . In 2008 he took part in the production of the play Penthesilea (director: Luk Perceval) at the Berlin Schaubühne on Lehniner Platz . He also played Petruchio in William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew at the Bad Hersfeld Festival in 2006 (director: Michael Gruner). In the 2013/14 season he is a member of the ensemble of the Schauspielhaus Frankfurt / Main. There he plays Beckmann in Borchert's Outside Front Door (directed by Jürgen Krause).

Harder worked with directors Michael Gruner , Phillipp Preuss , Thirza Bruncken , Hermann Schmidt-Rahmer , Matthias Gehre , Guido Huonder , Thomas Krupa , Peter Löscher and Uwe Hergenröder . He also had his own productions at the Schauspiel Dortmund: Nachtwachen des Bonaventura , IchundIch ( Lasker student ), A Time in Hell ( Arthur Rimbaud ) and We are not the end ( Carsten Brandau ; world premiere). He also had roles in film and television.

Manuel Harder has one child and lives in Leipzig with actress Birgit Unterweger .
