Marc Quambusch

Marc Mauricius Quambusch (born January 7, 1970 in Dortmund ) is a German filmmaker, television producer and media manager.

Life

Quambusch grew up as the son of the textile retailers Manfred and Gerda Quambusch in Witten-Heven and did his community service after graduating from high school in 1989. After moving to Hamburg in 1991, he began training as a nurse, which he later broke off. After an internship at BRAVO TV , he ended up at Schwartzkopff TV in 1996 , where he rose to the position of editor-in-chief of Andreas Türck's talk show .

After working as an editor of the RTL - Court show The juvenile court with Ruth heart and Sport1 he was in 2006 the first editor of the broadcast GAME ONE on MTV Germany .

Quambusch later developed various football formats and films, such as B. 11 Freunde TV for RBB and the ZDF documentary series Crazy About Football , which he also implemented as an author and director. The episodes “Groundhopping in Poland and Ukraine” and “A journey through the fan curves of Italy” were nominated for the 11mm film festival .

Together with Jan-Henrik Gruszecki , Quambusch directed and wrote the soccer documentary “The Soccer Capital of Buenos Aires”, which was also nominated for the 11mm film festival.

In 2015, the film Am Borsigplatz born - Franz Jacobi and the cradle of BVB premiered, which Quambusch produced together with Jan-Henrik Gruszecki and Gregor Schnittker . The film was Germany's most successful crowdfunding project to date and was shown in cinemas, on DVD and on demand, as well as in a shortened version in the first ARD program . As part of the film project, Gruszecki, Quambusch and Schnittker initiated the transfer of BVB founder Franz Jacobi and his wife from their cleared grave in Salzgitter to a grave of honor in Dortmund.

At the end of 2015, Quambusch's report Conspiracy Theories - Leben im Wahn with Rayk Anders as host at ZDFinfo , where he worked as a screenwriter and director.

Quambusch currently lives and works in Hamburg as a media manager for Nicole Jäger , Sebastian Bartoschek and Hoaxilla , as a senior producer at Rocket Beans TV and as a freelance filmmaker and format developer.

Quambusch is a fan of Borussia Dortmund and was also active here as the spokesman for the campaign Kein Zwanni - Football Must Be Affordable , which is committed to fair entry prices for football. Later, in his role as a filmmaker, he was invited to various programs as an expert on fan topics.
