Sebastian Bartoschek

Sebastian J. Bartoschek (born August 20, 1979 in Recklinghausen ) is a German psychologist , science slammer , podcaster and author .

Life

In 2004 Bartoschek graduated from the Ruhr University Bochum with a degree in psychology . 2013 he was at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster with the dissertation topic awareness of and agreement to conspiracy to Dr. phil. PhD. Bartoschek works full-time as a diagnostician in child and youth welfare; he prepares family law reports.

From 2000 to 2005 Bartoschek was managing director of the Red Star Booking event agency in Recklinghausen , which organized hardcore concerts in the Ruhr area . In this context he also released the sampler Re-Surrection.

In 2007 he became a member of the GWUP . In 2011 he evaluated Michałowice Bourne scale of transliminality and transferred them into German. He has published several psychological journal articles, including on better assessment of competencies among educational institutions (2007) and on dubious procedures in personnel selection (2011). He has also been a member of the Society for Anomalies since 2013 . In 2014 he became a founding member and board member of the association Wissensdurst e. V., which u. a. to promote science and research.

Sebastian Bartoschek is married and lives in Herne .

Journalistic activity

Since 2010 Bartoschek is active as a journalist, including for the IMAGE Ruhr and the magazine skeptics of GWUP . Contributions from him appear regularly on the humanistic website Wissenrockt.de . More of his articles published in the magazines on this side , Ruhr figures and the Masonic magazine angular .

Bartoschek has been writing articles for the website ruhrbarone .de since April 2013 , irregularly since 2015 for the German Huffington Post , since 2016 for princess reporters , since July 2017 for the weekly newspaper Jungle World and its online presence , and since November 2017 as a guest author for the journalist blog Salon Columnists .

In 2013, with the help of the crowdfunding platform Krautreporter , he collected a total of 715 euros for a video documentation of the PSI tests of the GWUP and published the almost five-minute video on his YouTube channel.

In 2015 he and Alexander Waschkau produced the documentary An Interview with Dr. Axel Stoll - The film about the right-wing conspiracy theorist Axel Stoll .

Podcasting

Sebastian Bartoschek is active in the podcasting scene.

With the BartoCast, he runs his own Discordian podcast. Together with the two other qualified psychologists Alexander Waschkau and Sven Rudloff, he runs the PsychoTalk, and the podcast Am Zapfhahn with the anonymous podcaster Riotburnz . He produces the PottCast with a group of podcasters . He had a few guest appearances on the Hoaxilla podcast .

Together with Katrin Schmalz, Bartoschek has been running the video podcast ("Vodcast") Die Krabitzen for some time , in which the participants talk about various current topics. The vodcast is streamed live on YouTube .

TV appearances

Sebastian Bartoschek has appeared several times as an expert on television since 2011, including on June 28, 2016 in the program Quarks & Co on the subject of conspiracy theories, also in the formats Stern TV , Punkt 12 (both broadcast on RTL ), local time or home + on the way (both WDR ). He was also seen on Thomas Gottschalk's program Gottschalk Live when he wanted to campaign for a parapsychology TÜV in the “66 dreams” category.

On June 12, 2014 Sebastian Bartoschek was seen with an article about conspiracy theories in the magazine Elektrischer Reporter of the broadcaster ZDFinfo .

On July 20, 2017, Bartoschek was one of the experts on the topic of filter bubbles and 'fake news' in a documentary by filmmaker Mario Sixtus for ZDFinfo .

In September 2017 he could be seen in the satirical web format “Wolfgang's Internet Imbiss” by the cashier- singer Wolfgang Wendland , where he cooked a “Truther cucumber pot”.

Radio appearances

In December 2013 Bartoschek was a guest on the radio show Die NachtWG - Weber and Gießmann on RauteMusik .

In the summer of 2016 he was the main guest on a radio series on MDR JUMP on the subject of conspiracy theories.

In October 2018 Bartoschek was chosen among the TOP 20 psychologists under 40 years of age worldwide in the assessment of the influence on the Internet.
