Alexander Waschkau (born December 1, 1975 in Minden ) is a German psychologist , podcaster and publicist .

Life

In 2004, Alexander joined Waschkau the study of psychology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster in Psychology from.

From 2004 to 2012 he worked in Münster and from 2012 to 2016 in Bad Segeberg in administration in the area of adult education . Waschkau has been working as a research assistant in Lübeck since January 2017 . He is married to Alexa Waschkau and lives in Hamburg .

Podcasting

Alexander Waschkau gained fame with the podcasting project Hoaxilla , which he has been running as a “Hoaxmaster” with his wife Alexa Waschkau, the “Hoaxmistress” and folklorist , since 2010. The podcast describes itself as follows: “Hoaxilla deals with modern sagas (urban legends), media, culture and science from the point of view of the skeptical movement , without taking itself too seriously. The special thing about Hoaxilla is the pairing of skepticism and sociocultural consideration of everyday issues.
