Marcel Klett

Marcel Klett (* 1970 in Wuppertal ) is a German dramaturge and commercial director at the Theaterhaus Jena .

Live and act

Marcel Klett studied German , general literature and linguistics at the University of Wuppertal . During his studies he worked on the Critical Kafka Edition from 1995 to 2000 . In April 2000 he was involved in the opening of the Literaturhaus Wuppertal and from 1999 to 2001 was a board member of the Else-Lasker-Schüler-Haus e. V.

In the 2000/01 season he worked as a dramaturge at the Schillertheater NRW in Wuppertal and then until 2004 as a dramaturge and dispatcher at the TIF (Theater in der Fabrik) of the Staatsschauspiel in Dresden . In addition, he worked at TIF from January to July 2003 as acting artistic director and in the 2003/04 season as deputy artistic director.

From 2004 to 2007 Klett was artistic director (together with Markus Heinzelmann ) and head dramaturge at Theaterhaus Jena .

For the 2007/08 season, he moved to the Bremen Theater as head dramaturge. He initially headed the acting division together with director Christian Pade . From 2009 to 2012 Marcel Klett was acting director and from the 2010/11 season he will be part of the five-man artistic director of the traditional theater, which has taken on the duties of artistic director.

In 2013 Marcel Klett returned to Theaterhaus Jena and took on the two functions of commercial director and head dramaturge.
