Marcel Ohmann (born April 4, 1991 in Neuss ) is a German ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Grizzlys Wolfsburg in the German ice hockey league .

Career

Ohmann began his ice hockey career in the youth field of the Kölner Haie, before he played in the 2006/07 season for the young eagles , the junior team of Adler Mannheim , in the German junior league. There the trained striker was able to convince in his first season and scored 17 points in 36 games. For the new season he switched back to the Kölner Haie , where the then 16-year-old was initially only used in the DNL at the Cologne EC Junghaien. At the beginning of the season he was injured and was out for four months. At the end of the season, however, he was able to add 21 scorer points to his account in 19 games this season.

During the 2008/09 season , the left shooter was called up by the Cologne Haie coaching staff in the professional squad. There he completed 18 DEL games in which he scored an assist . Between 2009 and 2011, he played in the 2nd Bundesliga for REV Bremerhaven with a license to sponsor . In the 2009/10 season, the German U20 national team joined the DEB Cup game operations. Ohmann was part of this team, but was only able to play one game for the U20 national team due to injuries. In the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons Ohmann played a few games for the Füchse Duisburg in the ice hockey league , but established himself more and more in the DEL team of the Kölner Haie. Between 2013 and 2017 he played exclusively for the Haie and played a total of 349 games (36 goals and 24 assists) in the top German division. After the 2016/17 season, his current contract in Cologne was terminated and Ohmann moved to the Grizzlys Wolfsburg . Ohmann suffered a total of three cruciate ligament tears during his time in Cologne and Wolfsburg.

International

Ohmann played for the German U17 and U18 selection in several international tournaments. At the U18 Junior World Championship 2009 he scored 4 goals in five games, which made him the most successful goalscorer of the German U18 national team in the tournament.
