Marcel Pérès (born January 24, 1898 in Castelsarrasin Département Tarn-et-Garonne ; † June 28, 1974 in Châlette-sur-Loing , Département Loiret ; actually Marcel Jean Paul Laurent Farenc ) was a French actor.

Life

Pérès was the son of a hairdresser. When his father died in 1906, his mother married Paul Pérès , the director of a traveling theater company. There Pérès learned all the activities in front of and behind the stage and has also appeared in a few plays and revues. Through his friendship with Roger Blin and Jean Gabin , Pérès discovered the cinema for himself around 1928. After some initial difficulties, Pérès was only active as an actor until the end of his life.

The actress Jeanne Pérez (1894–1975) was his older sister.
