Marcin Jaros (born February 27, 1981 in Oświęcim ) is a Polish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Naprzód Janów in the Ekstraliga since 2017 .

Career

Marcin Jaros began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of Aksam Unia Oświęcim . He made his debut in the Polish Ekstraliga in 2000 for the club from his hometown . In 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 he was Polish champions with the club and in 2003 he was also a cup winner . In 2007 he moved to the league rivals Zagłębie Sosnowiec . During the 2010/11 season he returned to his home club and played there until early 2015, before moving to KS Cracovia , where he ended the season. He then moved back to Sosnowiec, where he was on the ice for two years. After relegation in 2016, he had to spend the second year in the second-class I league . Since 2017 he has been playing in the Ekstraliga again for the Katowice district club Naprzód Janów .

International

For Poland Jaros initially took part in the U18 B European Championship in 1998 and the U18 World Championship in 1999 in the junior division. With the Polish U20 team , he played at the U20 B World Cup in 2000 and the U20 World Cup in the 2001 division .

In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the World Championships in Division I in 2005 , 2007 and 2008 . He was also on the ice at the qualifying tournaments for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin and 2010 in Vancouver .
