Marek Marian Piątek CSsR (born October 10, 1954 in Tuchów ) is a Polish religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Coari .

Life

Marek Marian Piątek joined the Congregation of the Redemptorists in and put on 15 August 1974, the profession from. The Bishop of Tarnów , Jerzy Karol Ablewicz , ordained him a priest on June 5, 1980 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 15, 2011 as prelate of the Territorial Prelature Coari. The Archbishop of São Salvador da Bahia , Murilo Sebastião Ramos Krieger SCI , donated him episcopal ordination on August 12 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Czesław Stanula CSsR, Bishop of Itabuna , and Gutemberg Freire Régis CSsR, Prelate Emeritus from Coari.

With the elevation of the territorial prelature to the diocese of Coari on October 9, 2013 by Pope Francis Piątek became its first diocesan bishop.
