Marek Uram (born September 8, 1974 in Liptovský Mikuláš , Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who has been under contract with the MHk 32 Liptovský Mikuláš in the Slovak extra league since 2015 . His brother Peter Hurtaj is also a professional ice hockey player.
Career
Uram began his career in his hometown Liptovský Mikuláš, where he went through all the youth teams of the MHk 32 Liptovský Mikuláš . During the 1993/94 season he made his debut in the Slovak Extra League . Until 2000 he played almost exclusively for his home club, only in the 1997/98 season he played for HK Poprad . During the 1999/2000 season he moved together with Peter Pucher to the Czech extra league for HC Znojemští Orli . There he developed into a dangerous attacking player who was the top scorer of the Extraliga in the 2000/01 season. At the end of the 2005/06 season Uram then moved to HC Vítkovice Steel and a short time later back to Slovakia for HC Slovan.
In the 2006/07 season he won the Slovak championship with HC Slovan and was awarded the MVP of the playoffs. He was also the top scorer in the Extraliga with 43 goals and 41 assists in 67 games. A year later he won the Slovak championship again with Slovan. In June 2009, Uram was signed by MHC Martin, for whom he played over 100 games in the Extraliga in the following year and a half. In January 2011, shortly before the end of the transfer window, he returned to Slovan Bratislava.
From September 2011 he was again under contract with his hometown club MHk 32 Liptovský Mikuláš, but was rarely used due to injuries. The following season he played for Orli Znojmo in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga .
In June 2013 he left the Adler from Znojmo and was signed by HK Nové Zámky , with whom he won the championship of the MOL league at the end of the season.
Since 2015 he has played again for his home club MHk 32 in the Extraliga.
International
Uram played at the 2002 World Cup for the Slovak national team and won the world championship with them . Only five years later he was called again in the selection and took part in the 2007 World Cup in Moscow and Mytishchi , where he scored 2 goals and 3 assists.
