Visitation of the Virgin Mary (Appertshofen)
The Roman Catholic parish church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Appertshofen belongs to the Deanery Pförring of the Diocese of Regensburg .
history
The first church was built around 1200 and was first mentioned in 1350. It was consecrated to “Our Lady Maria am See” and was a popular pilgrimage church until 200 years ago . A source that gushed here should help with eye ailments. After the church burned down in 1580, it was rebuilt from 1581. In 1737 it was rebuilt in a baroque style by Ingolstadt master mason Michael Anton Prunnthaller .
Furnishing
The baroque high altar came in 1966 from St. Oswald's Church in Hepberg . It was made in Ingolstadt around 1677. In the high altar niche is a Gothic miraculous image , a Madonna with the baby Jesus . The ceiling fresco from 1720 shows Mary as the salvation of the sick.
organ
The organ was built in 1735 by Caspar König as a choir organ for the Franciscan Church in Ingolstadt; it was transferred to Appertshofen in 1752. It has a manual and seven registers . The pedal was added later. The disposition is:

Peal
The bells were cast by the Karl Czudnochowsky company in Erding . It is a three-part chime with a Te Deum motif.
