history

Until the church is planted

Hepberg belonged to the Munich Rent Office and to the Vohburg Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . The barons Müller von Gnadenegg owned the open Hofmark , which had existed since the 15th century . In the course of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria , today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .

During the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Hepberg was to be incorporated into Lenting. In a vote on December 28, 1971, however, the population of Hepberg decided against incorporation with 77.1%. As a result, the Lenting administrative community was founded in 1978 with the communities of Hepberg, Lenting, Stammham and Wettstetten. Until the day before Hepberg left on January 1, 1994, the administrative community consisted only of Hepberg and Lenting.
