history
Until the churches are founded
Today's Oberdolling was first mentioned in a document in 825/27 as "Tullinga". A local nobility can be traced back to the beginning of the 12th century. Their castle (called "Schleckerstein" in the 17th century) was on the south-western edge of the village. In 1339 it was owned by Ulrich von Mendorf . In 1466 the place was divided into Ober- and Unterdolling. After it was destroyed by Swedish troops in the Thirty Years' War , the castle, which was surrounded by a moat, was rebuilt in 1649 by the Ingolstadt Jesuits; after another fire in 1931, the castle was rebuilt according to the historical model. In 1693 the barons of Hegnenberg acquired Dux Oberdolling and received this from then on as a Bavarian fief. In 1904 the place received a railway connection; the former route (passenger traffic was discontinued in 1972) is now used for the Schambachtalbahn cycle path.
Oberdolling was part of the Munich Rent Office and the Vohburg Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . The barons or later counts of Hegnenberg-Dux owned an open court here . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , with the municipal dictates of 1804 and 1818 , the Ober- and Unterdolling court brands (first mentioned in 1466) became independent municipalities that belonged to the Ingolstadt district court (later the district ).
