The Oberdolling Castle is a castle in Oberdolling in Eichstätt . It is a listed building (number D-1-76-150-3).

history

A local nobility and their castle (called "Schleckerstein" in the 17th century) in Oberdolling have been documented since the beginning of the 12th century. In 1339 it was owned by Ulrich von Mendorf . After it was destroyed by Swedish troops in the Thirty Years' War , the castle, which was surrounded by a moat, was rebuilt in 1649 for the Ingolstadt Jesuits . In 1693 the barons of Hegnenberg called Dux Oberdolling. After a fire in 1931, the castle was rebuilt according to the historical model.
