criticism

In February 2019, a YouTube video became known in which Stern sings the " Strache song" and raises his hand in the Hitler salute . In particular, the FPÖ saw it as an act of National Socialist re-engagement and forwarded the video to the NS reporting office of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution and the Fight against Terrorism (BVT); The Ring of Freedom Students spoke of playing down the crimes of National Socialism and announced a statement of facts to the public prosecutor. Maria Stern assured that the gesture should be understood in the context of satire. She “only waved.” In 2010 she was threatened with a lawsuit from Fiona Swarovski, because of the satirical “Swarovski song” during the protest song contest in the Rabenhof Theater .
