Marian Freiherr von Gravenreuth

Marian Max Kasimir Werner Maria Freiherr von Gravenreuth (born October 27, 1949 in Augsburg ) is a German lord of the castle and forest owner.

Career

Baron von Gravenreuth comes from the Franconian noble family of Gravenreuth . He was born the son of Werner Freiherr von Gravenreuth (1906–1982) and grew up at Affing Castle . He completed his training with a degree in business administration. After the death of his father, he inherited the family estate, which also includes extensive forest holdings.

From 1998 to 2008 he was chairman of the Bavarian Forest Owners Association and was named honorary president in 2011. In 1998 he was also elected Vice-President of the Working Group of German Forest Owners' Associations (AGDW) and in this function belongs to the German Forestry Council. From 1994 to 2002 he was a representative of the AGDW on the Presidium of the German Society for Wood Research .

At the European level, he was Vice-President of the Central Association of European Forest Owners and Chairman of the European Forest Certification Initiative PEFC .
