Mariano Chiacchiarini (born December 16, 1982 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine-Italian conductor .

At the age of 25, Mariano Chiacchiarini won first prize at the Teatro Colón "J. Martini" conducting competition in Argentina and began a remarkable international career that led to important encounters with the greats of the music world. B. with Sir Simon Rattle , Pierre Boulez , Péter Eötvös , Iván Fischer , Daniele Gatti , Bernard Haitink , Riccardo Chailly and David Zinmann . In his younger years he was able to gain experience with a considerable number of first-class and renowned orchestras and ensembles. education and study

Chiacchiarini completed his studies in orchestral and choral conducting at the Universidad Católica Argentina with a gold medal. In 2010 he received his master's degree in conducting with Michael Luig at the Cologne University of Music and Dance with distinction. He is a prizewinner of the Fondo Nacional de las Artes and was supported by a DAAD scholarship as well as by the Accademia Musicale Chigiana and the Mozarteum Argentino . In 2013 he was selected by the “Conductors Workshop” of the Critical Orchestra of the Hanns Eisler University of Music Berlin to work with musicians from the Berlin Philharmonic , the Staatskapelle Berlin , the Staatskapelle Dresden and other top orchestras.

Career as a conductor

Chiacchiarini is a prizewinner of the Fondo Nacional de las Artes , the Mozarteum T. Grüneisen, was artist in residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts Paris and has been a guest at important festivals such as the Lucerne Festival , the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Young Euro Classic , the Donaueschinger Musiktage as well as in concert halls such as the Konzerthaus Berlin , the Elbphilharmonie , the large Tchaikovsky Hall of the Moscow Conservatory and the Opéra Bastille .
