Marie-Claire Restoux

Marie-Claire Restoux (born April 9, 1968 in La Rochefoucauld ) is a former French judoka .

She celebrated her greatest sporting successes in the mid-1990s, when she was twice world champion (1995 and 1997) in the category up to 52 kilograms and was Olympic champion at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta .

After completing her sporting career, she took on a central role in the application committee of the city of Paris for the 2012 Summer Olympics . In July 2002 she followed Jean-François Lamour in the French government as technical advisor for youth and sport.
