Marina Michailowna Matrossowa ( Kazakh Марина Михайловна Матросова ; born July 2, 1990 in Ridder ) is a Kazakh cross-country skier .

Career

Matrossowa started in Kuusamo for the first time in the World Cup in December 2007 and finished 52nd over 10 km classic. The Tour de Ski 2009/10 she finished in 38th place. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver she came in 48th place in the sprint, 47th place in the 15 km skiathlon and 34th place in the 30 km mass start race. The following year, she won 49th place in the 15 km skiathlon and 46th place in the 30 km mass start race at the 2011 Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo . In the 2011/12 season she took 58th place at the Nordic Opening in Kuusamo and 42nd place at the Tour de Ski 2011/12 . She achieved her first World Cup points with 26th place in the final stage in Val di Fiemme . In the following season she finished the Nordic Opening in Kuusamo in 53rd place and the Tour de Ski 2012/13 in 48th place. At the World Cup in Canmore , she won again World Cup points with 30th place in the skiathlon and 24th place in the 10 km mass start race. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme , she achieved 59th place in the 10 km freestyle, 45th place in the skiathlon and 33rd place in the 30 km mass start race. In December 2013 she won the bronze medal with the relay at the 2013 Winter Universiade in Lago di Tesero . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2015 in Falun , she reached 49th place in the skiathlon and 12th place in the relay. In February 2017 she took 16th place in the sprint and tenth place in the 15 km mass start race at the Winter Universiade in Almaty and eighth place in the sprint, seventh place over 10 km freestyle and fourth at the Winter Asian Games in Sapporo Place with the relay. In March 2018 she became the Kazakh champion over 10 km freestyle in Shchuchinsk .
