Mark Elf

Mark Elf (born December 13, 1949 in New York City ) is an American jazz guitarist and arranger of mainstream jazz .

Live and act

Elf studied from 1969 to 1971 at Berklee College of Music and worked in the 1970s with Jimmy McGriff , with whom the first recordings were made, as well as with Charles Earland , Grachan Moncur III ( Echoes of Prayer , 1974), Lou Donaldson and Heiner Stadler . In 1987 he presented his debut album with his trio of Paul Brown (bass), Al Harewood and Leroy Williams (drums). In the 1990s he worked with Jon Hendricks , Benny Golson ( Ed's Next Move , 1996), The Heath Brothers and Jay Leonhart, among others .

In the field of jazz he was involved in 28 recording sessions between 1973 and 2005.
