Markel Etxeberria Mendiola (born February 15, 1995 in Erandio ) is a Spanish football player .

Career

Etxeberria started his career at Athletic Bilbao . In August 2012 he made his debut for the CD Baskonia farm team in the Tercera División . Without ever having played for the second team before, Etxeberria was appointed to the professional squad for the first time in the same month, but was not used. In August 2013 he finally made his debut in the Segunda División B for Athletic Bilbao B . With Bilbao B he was promoted to the Segunda División in the 2014/15 season . He made his debut in the Segunda División on matchday 10 of the 2015/16 season against SD Huesca . With Bilbao B he had to relegate back to the Segunda División B at the end of the season as bottom of the table.

For the 2016/17 season he was awarded to the second division club Real Valladolid .
