Erandio is a Spanish municipality in the province of Bizkaia . Its capital, Bilbao, is 8 km away and the closest city to Erandio. The municipalities of Urduliz , Lauquíniz (Laukiz) and Berango border Erandio in the north, Bilbao in the south, Loiu and Sondika in the east, and Leioa (Lejona), Getxo and the Ría de Bilbao in the west.

The inhabitants are called Erandiotarra .
