Marko Juhani Mänttäri (born July 21, 1980 ) is a former Finnish biathlete and cross-country skier .

Career

Marko Juhani Mänttäri began his international career in 2001 in the Continental Cup for cross-country skiers. He contested his first race in February of that year in Maentyharju , Finland , where he was 37th in a 10-kilometer race. He came twice to appearances in the cross-country skiing world cup . The first time he was 84th in a sprint race in Lahti in March 2004, the second time in a 15-kilometer race in November of the same year in Kuusamo 95th. After that, he ran mostly in the Scandinavian Cup until 2006 and switched to biathlon in 2006.

Mänttäri's first season in biathlon started in 2007 . He made his debut in a sprint race as part of the European Cup in Cesana San Sicario , which he finished 61st.
