Markowa ( Ukrainian Маркова ; Russian Маркова , Polish Markowa ) is a village in the center of the Ukrainian Oblast Ivano-Frankivsk with about 3000 inhabitants (2001).
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1487, is the only place in the 14 km² district council of the same name in Bohorodtschany Rajon .
The village is located in the Gorgany mountain range of the Forest Carpathians on the banks of the Manjawka ( Манявка ), a 21 km long tributary of the Bystryzja Solotvynska 7 km downstream from Manjawa , 19 km southwest of Bohorodchany district and 38 km southwest of the Ivano-Frankivsk oblast center . In the north, the village borders the urban-type Zolotvyn settlement with a connection to the regional road P-38 .
