Markus B. Altmeyer

Markus B. Altmeyer (* 1984 in Mannheim ) is a German screenwriter .

Life

Altmeyer grew up in Ellerstadt near Bad Dürkheim in the Palatinate . He studied theater, film and television studies , psychology and education ( MA ) in Munich and Cologne as well as screenwriting at the Hamburg film school . He also worked in various positions in the film industry, including a. as a junior producer for the ZDF series Wilsberg . Since 2011 he has been working exclusively as a freelance writer.

In addition to the mostly tragicomic books on various television films and crime series, he invented, developed and wrote the six-part Palatinate Doomsday series Pälzisch im Abgang , which was filmed and broadcast in 2015 and which for him was a "self-deprecating declaration of love for his homeland" for Südwestrundfunk represents.

After long stays in Munich , Cologne , Kiel and Hamburg , Altmeyer currently lives in Karlsruhe .
