Career

Eberl began his career in the 1997/98 season at SC Bietigheim-Bissingen in what was then the 1st League South, but left the club after a year to play at Heilbronn EC .

After two years he returned to his home club at the beginning of the 2000/01 season , where he was then under contract until the 2003/04 season .

The 2004/05 season spent Eberl in Landshut Cannibals before the 2005/06 season for EHC München moved.

As a trainer

From August 2011 to 2013 Eberl was head coach of youth work at EHC Straubing, where he coached the school team. From 2013 to 2015 he then worked in the junior staff at EV Landshut . Eberl has been under contract as a junior manager at SC Bietigheim-Bissingen since June 2015 . On September 1, 2016, Markus Eberl took over the position of national ice hockey trainer in Baden-Württemberg from Josef Goc, who retired at the end of April 2016 due to old age.
