Life

Positions

In an evangelical word on war and peace in Afghanistan , which Dutzmann published on January 25, 2010 with the board of directors of the EKD, the Evangelical Church in Germany warns against a mere “business as usual” in Afghanistan policy. This would deprive the military operation of the legitimacy of peace ethics.

In an information for parishes from May 13, 2013 Dutzmann suggested at state funerals for fallen Bundeswehr, which take place in the church premises, the domestic authority military police to transfer the Bundeswehr, "to avoid interference." The Hannoversche Landeskirche has meanwhile adopted this position and sent all parishes a form for the transfer of domiciliary rights (communication G 13/2013).

Dutzmann is a member of the Advisory Board of the Federal Academy for Security Policy .
