After the World Cup, the duo completed four grand slams and three open tournaments. The best result was 17th place in Marseille . In 2010 and 2011 Reader played with Chaim Schalk . The new duo became Canadian champions in 2010 and won a NORCECA tournament in 2011 . Reader then had to pause due to a back injury.

In 2012 he returned alongside Josh Binstock . Reader / Binstock finished ninth at the Mysłowice Open and competed in various Grand Slams. By winning the Continental Cup, they secured Canada a starting place at the Summer Olympics in London , which they were able to take themselves through a success in the national duel against Ben Saxton and Christian Redmann . At the Olympic tournament, the two Canadians won their opening game against England's Grotowski / Garcia-Thompson . After two defeats, they qualified third in the group for the lucky loser round.
