Martin Schall

Friedrich Karl August Albert Martin Schall (born May 27, 1844 in Schlaupitz ; † October 21, 1921 in Eberswalde ) was a theologian and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Schall attended the grammar school in Groß-Glogau from 1853 to 1863 and the University of Berlin until 1866. After that he was a private tutor in Dresden and Wiesbaden , as well as assistant preacher in Berlin . In the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71 he was field hospital pastor of the Second Army and from 1871 to 1873 field garrison pastor in Belfort . He was then pastor of the 31st division in Mulhouse in Alsace until 1877 . Between 1877 and 1886 he was garrison pastor in Spandau and from 1886 to 1910 preacher in Kladow . He wrote political writings: The workers' quarters in Mühlhausen i. Els. And the associated institutions for the benefit of the working class and a chronicle of documented news on the history of the garrison and garrison community Spandau .

From 1893 to 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Potsdam 7 Potsdam , Osthavelland , Spandau and the German Conservative Party . Between 1894 and 1903 he was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . He was particularly committed to the construction of the road between Spandau and Sacrow and tried to develop Kladow into a destination for Berliners.

The sound path was named after him in Kladow in 1962.
