Martina Bunge

Gertrud Paula Martina Bunge , b. Martina Gasch (born May 18, 1951 in Leipzig ) is a German politician ( SED , PDS and Die Linke ). From 1998 to 2002 she was Minister of Social Affairs for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . From 2005 to 2013 she was a member of the Bundestag and from 2005 to 2009 chairwoman of the Bundestag Committee on Health .

Life

After graduation in 1969 at an Extended Secondary School Martina Bunge worked in the electronic data processing and also holds a degree in mathematics , she in 1973 as a graduate mathematician ended. From 1975 she was a research assistant at the University of Rostock . In addition, she completed a distance learning course to become a certified teacher for Marxism-Leninism , which she completed in 1978. 1985 followed her doctorate (dissertation A) to Dr. oec. with work to economic stimulating the production of means of consumption in the state combines the production medium manufacturing industry . From 1986 to 1989, Bunge was an aspirant at the Academy for Social Sciences at the Central Committee of the SED in Berlin. In 1989 she completed her habilitation here with the thesis Scheduled preparation and development of social work capacity through training and further education in the change of work through the scientific-technical revolution (Dissertation B).

From 1990 to 1991 Bunge was a member of the Economic and Social Commission at the PDS Federal Executive Board . Then she was to 1998 secretary for social policy in the group of the PDS in the Bundestag .

In 2011 she received the “Human Rights Prize” from the Society for the Protection of Civil Rights and Human Dignity .

She is divorced and has two children.

Political party

In 1980 Bunge became a member of the SED . From 1996 to 2000 she was deputy chairwoman of the PDS regional association Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. From 2004 to 2007 she was chairwoman of the Die Linke district association in Wismar .

MPs

From 1998 to 2005 Bunge belonged to the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

From 2005 to 2013 she was a member of the German Bundestag and from October 2005 to October 2009 chairwoman of the Committee on Health. It entered the Bundestag via the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania state list. In the 2013 federal election , she was no longer nominated by her party for a promising place on the list and left the Bundestag.

Public offices

From 1998 to 2002 she was Minister for Health and Social Affairs in the state government of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania led by Prime Minister Harald Ringstorff .
