Matej Miljatovič (born June 23, 1979 in Ptuj ) is a Slovenian football player .

Miljatovič started as a promising defender in the Slovenian professional career. He played in the country's U21s and was part of the squad of the series champions NK Maribor in the year of the club's greatest success in 2000, when they qualified for the Champions League. Nevertheless, he could not establish himself there at a young age, so he then changed the club.

For two years he played in Prevalje in the lower regions of the table. In the third year, only seven points were deducted from the club when players' salaries were not paid, and after the club failed to play in a league game for the second time, Relax Korotan Prevalje was excluded from the league during the 2002/03 season. Miljatovič moved immediately afterwards to Esotech Šmartno . After the 2003/04 season this club ran out of money and Šmartno withdrew from the first division.

The Incoming NK Drava Ptuj took over the defender, and by December 2005 Matej Miljatovic continued to play in the first Slovenian league before he perceived the age of 26 the chance to move abroad and in the squad of the German during the winter break 2005/06 second division Kickers Offenbach added has been. There he was able to gain a foothold quickly and already made 11 appearances in the second half of the season. In the 2006/07 season he was a regular in the central defense of the Hesse, but left the club at the end of the season to move to Zalaegerszegi TE. There he was a regular member of the Nemzeti Bajnokság for four years . In the 2009/10 season he and his team qualified as a defeated cup finalist for the Europa League .

In the summer of 2011 Miljatovič moved to TSV Hartberg in the second Austrian league . In the 2011/12 season he and his team were relegated to relegation, and the 2012/13 season also ended with remaining in the class. In summer 2013 he left the club for SC Ritzing , who was playing in the Regionalliga Ost at the time . The 2014/15 season he was able to finish with his team in first place, but the club was not granted a license.

Since summer 2016 Miljatovič has been playing for TUS St. Peter am Ottersbach in 1st class (eighth league level).

Miljatovič played 16 times for the Slovenian U21 national team and has so far been called up to the senior national team twice .
