Mathias Solders

Mathias Solders (born December 3, 1750 in Maastricht ; † October 31, 1826 in Aachen ) was an administrative officer and from 1820 to 1826 as a salaried mayor of the city of Aachen.

Life

During the Napoleonic occupation , the original doctor of medicine Mathias Solders received his appointment as municipal administrator in 1798, which corresponded to a senior municipal official. On November 25th, 1800 he was appointed 3rd  adjunct . He was confirmed in this position twice, on March 18, 1808 and March 25, 1813. Even after the occupation ended in 1814, Solders initially remained an unpaid alderman. From 1820 to 1826, he then held the office of Lord Mayor of Aachen as a salaried alderman.
