Wilhelm Daniels (politician, 1778)

Franz Wilhelm Anton Maria Hubert Daniels (* 7. February 1778 in Düren , † 15. February 1845 in Aachen ) was a Prussian notary and from 1826 to 1831 as a salaried Deputy Mayor of Aachen.

Life

The Catholic Wilhelm Daniels was born in Düren as the son of Franz Anton Daniels and his wife Maria Anna Daniels, née Kannengiesser. On May 19, 1810 he married Maria Josefine Winkens. The judiciary and notary was appointed second mayor of the city of Aachen in 1820 and first mayor in 1826. In this function he took over the administration of the city of Aachen until January 23, 1832, succeeding Mathias Solders, who died on October 31 of the same year . In addition to this office, Daniels also held the position of President of the Chamber of Commerce from 1820 to 1826, 1830 and 1831 .
