Matisse Thybulle (born March 4, 1997 ) is an American basketball player .

career

Thybulle played as a teenager first at Skyline High School and then at Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish , Washington State . In 2015 he moved to the University of Washington . In 2018 and 2019 he was named Defender of the Year at the Pacific-12 Conference . With 331 ball wins, he became the record holder in this statistical category in the Pacific-12, replacing Gary Payton , who had previously held first place. Thybulle played a total of 135 games for the university team between 2015 and 2019 and was in the starting line-up 134 times.

Thybulle was selected in the NBA draft process in 20th place by the Boston Celtics , who then give him to the Philadelphia 76ers .
