Matthias Baur (born January 12, 1988 in Lörrach ) is a German handball goalkeeper .

In 2003, when he was young, Baur moved from ESV Weil am Rhein to SG Köndringen / Teningen . Here he played together with Jens Schöngarth and Felix Danner in the youth and regional league team. In 2008 he moved to HG Oftersheim / Schwetzingen and the Rhein-Neckar Löwen with the second game right . He played 32 games in the 2nd handball league for HG Oftersheim / Schwetzingen and 2 games in the 1st Bundesliga for the Rhein-Neckar Löwen. In 2009 he moved to the Swiss National League A to Pfadi Winterthur for which he was active until 2012. In the 2012/13 season he played for the French 2nd division club Istres Ouest Provence handball before he moved back to his home club ESV Weil am Rhein for the 2013/14 season, where he is used both as a player and as a goalkeeping coach for the youth .

To which he played in the period 2004-2009 for the German youth and junior national team and played 33 youth international games / 1 goal and 24 junior international games.
